Write a Fucking Blog They Say....

I've been Self-Femme-Ployed for 4 years, selling products online and I've known since my first year that I should be blogging to increase my traffic on my website. Cue to me just now begrudgingly doing it as a 2020 NYR. #doasisaynotasido

So you need to write a blog, but WHY?

• In a nutshell..... because the Google Gods demand it of you. A hearty, frequently updated blog with solid content will help boost your ranking in the google search engine.

The google machine crawls websites for fresh & quality content. Blogging more frequently will make you more relevant.

• SEO if you don't know about SEO and your trying to sell online you better settle in and get familiar. It stands for Search Engine Optimization and it is essentially using strategic keywords to be found on search engines. This about what words people would use to find your page, then curate your best keywords by figuring out what your customer are searching for. Then you implement those words frequently but naturally into your website.

• The google machine looks for how long people are on your site to judge how relevant you are, so awesome content that engages your customers and keeps them on your page will help your ranking.

• Inbound links are also very helpful in getting google to like you. Having other reputable sites saying you're cool makes google think your cool. So having interesting, solid blog content that people will want to share on their site will help you level up.

• You mobile friendly? Well hop to it, lots of your customers are going to me looking at your site via cellphone and google likes it when your site is mobile friendly and so do your customers. No one wants to read your blog by zooming in and scrolling.

• It's free. Time consuming sure. But it's organic, more authentic and cheaper than running an advertisement for a limited time. A blog is permanent.
